Welcome To Homework!

I initially started this blog for all my monthly menu distributees. I had several friends who liked to have my monthly menus emailed to them. Then if they saw a meal on the menu that interested them they would ask for the recipe. I had a friend who wanted all the recipes. So instead of emailing all the requested recipes I created this blog to post my monthly menus and the accompanying recipes. Then I just started writing about my favorite topics related to meal planning which led to meal planning which has everything to do with budgeting and that led to organizational topics and well, that's how this all began. So that is why my favorite topics,(food, organizing and budgeting) all come together here.

I love to hear any reviews from recipes, ideas about my posts or any comments at all. Please feel free to post a comment.

Oh and for any newbies that aren't familiar with how the menu works, here it is in a nutshell. I print the grocery list for each entree on the back side of my calendar. My grocery list for the meals do not include pantry items like oils, vinegars, spices or other things that I always have on hand. I shop at the beginning of the month for ALL the items in black for the entire month and then shop only for produce items (printed in green) weekly. At the top of each calendar you will find a list of in-season produce. It is always best to shop for in-season items because they will be on sale and they will be at their peak nutritional value since they will have traveled less than off-season produce. Happy Grocery Shopping!
